Yulia: I still have two stories. Well, one is more like a legend, and the other is something that happened with my second ex-boyfriend. After that, it’s hard not to believe in mysticism.
Ivan: Okay, go ahead.
Ivan: So, Yulia has two more stories. One is a kind of legend, and the other one is a real story from her ex-boyfriend.
Ivan: One legend and one real story, right?
Yulia: It’s not really a legend — it actually happened. It’s a story.
Ivan: Okay, two stories then. Go on.
Yulia: Our soldiers who are on “zero,” on the front line, sleep in abandoned houses, because it’s much more comfortable than sleeping in trenches.
There was a case when a soldier was sleeping in a house, and a girl in Ukrainian clothing woke him up and led him outside. He saw her very clearly.
Then she disappeared as if into thin air. And a few minutes later there was shelling, and the house was hit. That’s how he survived.
After that, he questioned local residents who were still in that settlement. He described the girl to them and asked whether anyone knew her. But they said they had never seen such a girl.
Ivan: So this wasn’t your father, right? It’s just a story?
Yulia: Yes, it’s just a story. A senior fellow soldier told it to my father, because my dad doesn’t really believe in such things. They told him this story so that he would believe.
